Yanmar Equipment North America (YCENA) recently expanded its Canadian dealer network with the appointment of Emerald Equipment as an authorized dealer in Alberta. The partnership gives contractors across Edmonton, Calgary and surrounding markets increased access to Yanmar’s growing lineup of compact construction equipment while reenforcing the manufacturer’s long-term commitment to supporting infrastructure, energy and industrial development throughout Western Canada.
Alberta expansion supports growing construction activity
Yanmar’s latest dealer announcement reflects the company’s continued focus on growing its presence in Canada, where demand for construction equipment remains strong across transportation, municipal infrastructure, energy and industrial sectors.
Under the agreement, Emerald Equipment will offer Yanmar’s complete portfolio of compact track loaders, mini excavators, compact wheel loaders and tracked carriers through its Edmonton and Calgary locations. The dealership will also provide parts support, maintenance services and technical expertise to contractors operating throughout Alberta.

Strengthening equipment access and service support
For contractors working on large-scale infrastructure and heavy construction projects, equipment uptime and service availability remain critical considerations. Through the new partnership, customers will gain access to Yanmar’s expanding compact equipment lineup, including the manufacturers recently unified compact track loader range featuring both ASV Posi-Track and steel-embedded undercarriage systems.
The dual undercarriage offering allows contractors to select machine configurations tailored to specific operating conditions, whether working on soft ground, utility corridors, urban developments or industrial sites.
In addition to machine sales, Emerald Equipment will stock genuine Yanmar parts and provide factory-supported service and technical assistance, helping contractors maximize equipment reliability and productivity.
Building a larger Canadian dealer network
Yanmar executives describe Canada as a key growth market for the company, citing ongoing investment in dealer development and customer support. And the appointment of Emerald Equipment further expands Yanmar’s reach in Western Canada, one of the country’s most active regions for construction and resource-sector development.
For contractors in Alberta supporting roadbuilding, municipal infrastructure, site development and energy projects, the expanded dealer presence provides greater access to equipment, parts and service resources close to where work is taking place.
