Four new hangars are being built at the Brantford Airport this summer as the airport in Southwestern Ontario looks to increase the number of flights transiting through its site.
Donovan Group, a global designer and manufacturer of innovative construction technologies and solutions, Canadian Metal Buildings (CMB), an Ontario-based building manufacturer and installer of innovative building solutions, and CMB-authorized builder Area Construction have teamed up on the airport expansion project.
The new buildings will house private hangar spaces for aircraft operators. Knowing the needs of its client, CMB developed user-friendly layouts that the company says optimizes space and provides easier access for pilots and ground crew. The strength of the structures, which Area Construction is installing, relies on Donovan Group’s DonoBrace bracing technology.
“We are looking forward to leading this modern construction project with the Donovan Group. With efficiency and standardization at the forefront of construction developments. DonoBrace is offering a faster, more streamlined process for designing, fabricating and installing a necessary structural component for metal buildings,” said Justin Bruzzese, chief executive officer at Canadian Metal Buildings. “Our team is dedicated to transforming the steel building sector by offering our customers a comprehensive range of services spanning design, engineering, manufacturing and installation of pre-engineered metal building systems.”
“We are proud to partner with Canadian Metal Buildings to bring this cutting-edge construction project to life. In 2024, the CMB team selected and adopted our DonoBrace system as their standard bracing system and technology,” said Oliver Foote, chief commercial officer at Donovan Group. “Our technology is now part of all major construction projects led by CMB.”
