Euclid Chemical Company has expanded its North American concrete admixtures operations with the acquisition of Brett Admixtures – a long-time manufacturer and distributor of liquid concrete admixtures that has exclusively produced and commercially promoted Euclid solutions since 1998. Announced on Nov. 15, the transaction reinforces Euclid’s commitment to supporting concrete-intensive construction projects with reliable products, localized expertise and strong service networks.

Strengthening service in key Canadian and U.S. markets

Brett Admixtures has primarily served the upper Midwest of the United States and Manitoba, giving the company a well-established presence in a region closely tied to Canada’s construction supply chains. According to Tom Gairing, president of Euclid Americas, Brett’s deep knowledge of Euclid’s product line, aligned business culture and long-standing customer relationships made the company a natural fit. The acquisition positions Euclid to drive growth while maintaining continuity in products and service levels that contractors rely on for performance-critical concrete applications.

Expanded manufacturing and distribution capacity

Headquartered in Albertville, Minnesota, Brett Admixtures operates additional facilities in Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Marengo, Iowa; and Fargo, North Dakota. This infrastructure broadens Euclid Chemical’s manufacturing and distribution footprint, creating operational efficiencies and geographic reach. For Canadian contractors, particularly those working in Manitoba and on cross-border projects, this expanded network supports more resilient supply chains and improved access to specialized admixtures needed for durable, high-performance concrete.

Leadership continuity and operational integration

As part of the acquisition, Jim Gubbin, acting Vice-President of Brett Admixtures, will assume responsibility for operational, distribution and field services activities. John Brett Jr., the company’s Sales Manager, will lead Brett’s established team of admixture consultants and sales representatives as they integrate into Euclid’s operations and sales teams. This continuity ensures that technical knowledge and customer relationships remain intact while benefiting from Euclid’s broader resources.

Implications for concrete-intensive jobs

For contractors committed to building Canada’s concrete-intensive infrastructure, from transportation and industrial facilities to commercial developments, the acquisition signals greater stability, innovation and support in admixture supply. As demand for durable, high-performance concrete continues to grow, Euclid’s expanded capabilities are positioned to help contractors deliver projects efficiently, safely and to increasingly demanding performance standards.
